Our Covenant: A Sacred Commitment
The Anglican Vicariate is bound by a covenant to uphold the Orthodox Faith, preserve the Anglican Patrimony, and combat heresy and secularism. We are also subscribers to the Moral Covenant of the World Federation of Orthodox and Apostolic Churches.
Our Commitments:
- Scriptural Authority: We affirm the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments as the inspired Word of God, guiding our faith and practice.
- Orthodox Doctrine: We adhere to the Seven Ecumenical Councils, the Nicene Creed, and the Church Fathers, rejecting the Filioque, Papal Infallibility, and Protestant heresies.
- Anglican Patrimony: We preserve the Orthodox Book of Common Prayer, traditional hymns, and English Christian values, fulfilling the vision of the Caroline Divines and Oxford Fathers.
- Mission and Resistance: We oppose secularism, radical individualism, feminism, and cultural Marxism, serving the marginalized as Christ commands.
- Canonical Integrity: Our clergy and parishes maintain validity through the apostolic continuity of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
Our Promise:
We pledge to live out this covenant under God’s providence, praying “Thy Kingdom Come” and celebrating feasts and fasts in our beautiful English Patrimony, in full conformity to the Doctrine, Dogmas, and Practice of the Universal Orthodox Church!
